Who It's For

You don't have to grit your way through it

Sedation at Norwalk Dental Group is offered for surgical procedures with our oral surgeon, Dr. Sung Han, as well as select restorative procedures — such as wisdom teeth removal, surgical extractions, implant placement, and more involved restorative work. If a procedure like this makes you anxious, sedation can change the entire experience.

01

Wisdom Teeth Removal

A common source of dental anxiety, made far more comfortable with sedation.

02

Surgical Extractions

For teeth that require a more involved surgical approach to remove.

03

Implant Placement

A longer surgical procedure that many patients find easier to sit through with sedation.

04

Extensive Restorative Work

Longer or more involved restorative procedures are easier to sit through with sedation.

Sedation is currently offered for surgical procedures and select restorative work. Confirm this scope is accurate before publishing, and update here if that changes.

Common Questions

Sedation FAQ

Is sedation available for routine cleanings or fillings?

Sedation is offered for surgical procedures with our oral surgeon and select restorative work — such as wisdom teeth removal, implant placement, and more involved restorative procedures. Ask us during your exam whether it's a good fit for your specific treatment.

Will I be unconscious?

It depends on the option chosen for your procedure — we offer a range of sedation levels, from mild sedation where you stay awake and relaxed, up to deeper sedation where you're fully unconscious. We'll discuss which level is right for your specific procedure.

Is sedation safe?

Yes. Sedation is administered and monitored by our oral surgeon for surgical procedures, following standard safety protocols.

Will I need someone to drive me home?

Yes — you'll need someone to drive you home after any sedation appointment, since its effects can last after your procedure is finished.
