Dr. Sung Hyon Han is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and co-founder of Norwalk Dental Group, where he leads surgical and implant care as part of a multispecialty team serving Norwalk and Fairfield County. He built the practice around a simple idea: patients should be able to get complex surgical, implant, and restorative care — from a single missing tooth to full-mouth reconstruction — under one roof, from providers who work together.
Dr. Han's focus is dental implant surgery and full-mouth rehabilitation. He has placed thousands of dental implants over more than a decade of practice and performs advanced bone grafting and full-arch reconstruction, including All-on-X and "teeth in a day" protocols that let many patients leave with a fixed set of teeth in a single visit. His broader surgical practice includes dentoalveolar surgery, wisdom tooth extraction, and orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery.
Comfort is central to how Dr. Han practices. He is trained and credentialed in in-office anesthesia and offers sleep sedation for patients who want to be comfortably asleep through their procedure, with an emphasis on a gentle, low-stress surgical experience from consultation through recovery.
Dr. Han completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, with advanced training in surgery, anesthesia, general medicine, and trauma care, following a hospital-based OMFS internship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Outside of work, Dr. Han enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife and their daughter, Stella.
